Janet Jackson turned up at the BET awards last night to say a few words in memory of her older brother Michael Jackson. The entire show was emotional and fun loving but this just toppled me over the edge! i had to shed a tear on this one peeps. She did the fam proud. NeYo then kills 'I'll be there', a beautiful rendition with Jamie Foxx.

All in All a fabulous night... well worth staying up for.

The Man With No Shadow

Peeped this installation on Knaye's blog. Its an LED light scultpture of a man that welcomed visitors to Tojiki's stand at SaloneSatellite created by Makoto Tojiki.

I love this. I think im most impressed at the literal nature of the title... The Man With No Shadow, because it is obviously that an object made entirely of light wouldn't be able to cast a shadow. It's bewildering that nobody has ever thought of this before, but enchanting at the same time! Brilliant. I love good art

Jay Z finally dropped Death Of Autotune video off the back of the BET awards last night... which if i might add was EMOTIONAL! loved every minute of it (apart from when the oldies came on coz i was fallin asleep), but all the other performances and the icing on the cake being Janel Jackson saying a few words, it was a perfect night for Michael. Im sure he was there bussin a few moves on stage last night!

But back to this vid... i really like it! I love the underlying idea they have throughout with the blowing up of all the goodies, looks dope! Thank god he got that trim at the end tho, i wernt really feeling that doo too tough! lol

This vid really reminded me of the old Hov, but also the new suave big boy Hov! good look baby..

This video killed me! Already upset from Michael Jackson passing, i just needed something like this to push me over the edge, and it did! This is one of the nicest and most genuine, heart felt things i have ever heard from a popular figure in the industry. You can see and hear he truly feels every word he is saying and im sure Michael is very proud of this vid, all the tributes over the past 2 days and of himself ultimately.

Nike Gladiators - Metallic

Ok so apparently when the black and white/gold versions of these dropped there were some negative feedback!! Im extremely surprised as everyone that i showed these to were like "Im getting those" lol... male and female.

But anyway, hopefully the release of the metallic gladiators have shut up the sour critics. i must say i love the white ones more then any other color-way, but these do look a little suave.

Keri Hilson Album

Heres a little going away present for you all... Im off to Dubai tomorrow so i wont be blogging for a bit. This album is TIGHT! i have had most of the tracks on this album for a while, but when they come in dribs and drabs like i have received them, i fail to post them. But i just got given the album today and listened to it, obviously i knew 70% of the songs but hearing them one after the other was dope! The intro sets the pace i think, the beats are very neat, sounds like Timbaland worked on a few at least. I love it. Favorite tracks have to be 'Turning Me On', 'Knock You Down', 'Tell Him The Truth' and 'Where Did He Go'.

'Where Did He Go' brings out my emotions... not sure why! :-)

I heard this song a while back when my boy Roy hooked me up. I wasn't too sure about it, i felt like it sounded unfinished, like it was just a mix tape thing. I have realized that its one of those tunes that is BAD when u see the video with it! i actually love this track now! respect Royston!

I saw the making of the video on diddys video updates, so i was interested to see the outcome of the split screen thing they have done! i pictured it a little different, but it still looks cris! I like the mexican feel the sepia tone is giving it.

Beyonce Concert - O2 Arena

I forgot to inform you guys as i haven't been blogging of late, but i attended the Beyonce concert here in London on 9th June at O2 Arena. It was OFF THE CHAIN! i cant really describe in words how good it really was. i had the best seats and i was chuffed with the buy.

On the night she brought out George Michael as a special surprise guest and that performance was crazy, the crowd went nuts! I have uploaded the vid for you to see. Im currently uploading others, once they are done i will add them. I got some pics too for you to peep.

Nike Dynasty Leather

I personally think these are dappa! Simple but powerful. Yet the reviews are speaking another language. These are only on sale in Chicago and will not be released anywhere else until Spring 2010!

The opening line of the review i read was this:

"Nike refuses to let up with their relentless onslaught of underappreciated retro’s."

Now firstly i wouldnt describe Nikes continuous release of the Dynasty an "onslaught" and how the hell are they "unappreciated". Some of the retro's are the most expensive and exclusive sneakers Nike have ever released! I am guessing the person that wrote the review has no love for the retro's!
